Our friend and Padre, Philip Auden, Crossed The Bar on Tuesday 19th January at home. He will be much missed. There will be a small family service and eventually a Memorial Service at Portishead at a date to be arranged.
Philip’s funeral will take place on Tuesday the 9th of February commencing at 1215 GMT at the Woodlands Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium, Gloucestershire.
This is the smaller of the two chapels at Westerleigh.
The service is restricted to FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY. No other mourners will be permitted to enter the chapel.
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO WESTERLEIGH. IN VIEW OF THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR COULD BE SUBJECT TO A VERY LARGE FINE IF PEOPLE LINE UP OUTSIDE.
(There will hopefully be a Memorial Service later in the year. The provisional venue for this service is the old Nautical School Chapel, Nore Road Portishead, alias St Nicholas Church).
The service will be video recorded and streamed and should also be available to be viewed on the day ..live. It will be available for 30 days thereafter.
Below is the webcast info. As well as live, it will be available for 30 days.
Attached is the order of service who would like to follow the service.
